As Professor of Healthcare Applications of Design at Cardiff Metropolitan University, I focus on user-centred design and advanced manufacturing for custom medical devices and assistive technology. My work is dedicated to improving lives and healthcare efficiency by translating complex design technologies into practical, person-focused solutions. I facilitate strategic partnerships between the NHS and global industry leaders while mentoring future designers through international workshops and Master’s-level leadership.

Specialist Engineering & Inclusive Sport

As Director of Ride Adapt Ltd, I lead the design of high-performance equipment engineered to empower athletes with upper-body disabilities, ensuring they can excel in cycling and motorcycling without compromise.

I believe that impactful design is informed by an active engagement with the world. My commitment to community through football coaching, mountain biking, bike polo and other sports fuels my passion for accessibility and the vital role the outdoors plays in holistic health and rehabilitation.
